Life is interesting – to say the least! Over the years, we’re presented with a variety of personal and professional opportunities. However, we do not always take advantage of them. Why? Well, because our lives are not linear. We have internal and external elements that influence our purpose, drive, and overall success.

Coaching is an art that demands strong interpersonal skills and the ability to teach and motivate others. With significant experience in this area, I’m ready and willing to help. We’ll explore and process limiting factors, apply resilience, and activate a growth mindset.

“Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions.”

Life Coaching & Mentorship FAQs

What is the difference between life coaching and therapy?

There are a lot of differences between life coaching and therapy. With life coaching and as a life coach, I will help you set and achieve goals, focus on your personal growth, and motivate you to take certain steps. While similar approaches can be taken in therapy, life coaching is less formal, and I may not be using specific therapeutic methods.

What areas of life can coaching help with?

Life coaching can help with a wide range of areas, including your work/career, your confidence and self-esteem, your relationships, your finances, and stress management.

What is a "growth mindset," and how do you cultivate it?

A growth mindset is a way of thinking that certain abilities, intelligence, and talents can all be cultivated and improved with dedication, effort, and learning from challenges throughout your life. To cultivate it, I will help you embrace challenges instead of running away from them, learn from your mistakes, and seek feedback from those you care about.

Who can benefit from life coaching and mentorship?

Everyone can benefit from life coaching or mentorship at one time or another. I have seen clients from all walks of life who have greatly benefited from my life coaching and mentoring help.

What does a typical life coaching session involve?

With me, a typical life coaching session involves setting goals for the present and the future, exploring your own beliefs and thoughts, making actionable plans to make your dreams possible, building your skills, and going over how well you're progressing. Sessions can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour.

How is success measured in life coaching?

The success of life coaching is typically measured by how well you are meeting the goals we’ve set. Have you noticed a boost in confidence? Did you get that promotion? Have you seen a change in your relationships? If so, life coaching is a success.

Can life coaching be combined with therapy?

Absolutely! Combining life coaching with therapy is a great option. Therapy can address issues that life coaching may not, and vice versa.

How long does a life coaching engagement typically last?

For specific goals, life coaching can last anywhere from 3 to 6 months, but if you’re looking for ongoing support, our meetings can continue for a year or more.

Is life coaching available virtually or in-person?

Life coaching with me is available both virtually and in-person. We can have a tele-appointment, or I can meet you at your home or another convenient location.

Can coaching help with career development and professional goals?

Yes! Life coaching is perfect for those who are looking to get a promotion, improve their career, or work on their professional goals. Whether you’re just starting out in the professional world or you’ve been in corporate America for years, I can help you take steps to reach your goals.

What is Life Coaching and Mentorship?

Life coaching is the process of helping clients gain some clarity on different aspects of their lives, come up with and define goals, and discover and discuss ways to achieve them. Whether you already have goals you are ready to work on or you don’t know where to start, Jeff will be there to guide you every step of the way.

Mentorship, on the other hand, is a relationship between Jeff and you, where he provides advice and support for any life challenges you’re going through. He can also help you come up with ways to achieve your goals and cope with struggles, but that’s not always part of these sessions.

What Can Life Coaching and Mentorship Treat?

Life coaching and mentorship aren’t typically used to treat mental health conditions, but they are great options for anyone looking for help in relationships, at work or in their career, with finances, or simply in their day-to-day lives.

Jeff can also assist you in breaking bad habits, dealing with high levels of stress, addressing difficult social situations, and helping with blocked creativity. No matter what you’re looking to address, Jeff will ensure you feel comfortable sharing your struggles, thoughts, and emotions and that you have the tools you need to cope.

What are the Benefits of Life Coaching and Mentorship?

There are countless benefits to taking part in life coaching and mentorship, especially with an experienced therapist like Jeff Farber. You can get a clearer picture of your goals and your life’s purpose, get some accountability that you may not have in your life normally, discover the motivation to achieve your goals, and learn new problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Beyond that, you can learn how best to improve your relationships, improve your emotional intelligence, and overcome any beliefs or thoughts that are holding you back.

What to Expect from Life Coaching and Mentorship

When you come to Jeff Farber for life coaching and mentorships, in your first meeting, you will simply discuss what brought you to wanting a life coach or mentor and what you’re currently struggling with. You’ll also determine if Jeff is the right fit for you.

In the following sessions, Jeff will help you clarify your goals, build steps to reach those goals, and discover what obstacles are in your way.
